It will authenticate the communication using the RSA public/private key pair provided (sending/receiving).

The peers may hold a master node list or a peer list or both (usually stored within a VFS, shared memory, or registry hive on the computer), when a master node gets a command from the bot operator through the reverse proxy, which talks to another PC within the network. Master nodes contain a symmetric encryption key of RSA which the attacker becomes aware of since master nodes communicate through reverse proxy to a backend c&c at one given instance during a period of time given a certain uniquely generated event. Computers which don't fit that characteristic become part of a peer node. When a computer is compromised, given a certain characteristic like if it's behind a NAT or if it's behind a firewall, it can become a master node. This is how a lot of bots worked back in the day. Pastebin was another big repository for bots. For example, some component of your bot has an email address, the bot logs in, creates information in the draft folder - then another bot logs in, extracts that information out of the draft folder. The most simplistic way to do this historically was to have your bots using user accounts from a particular service.

As the architect, you could intervene and modify one little piece of code along the way if you want the bot behavior to be different. Each little piece of code passes on some of the information, sometimes even splicing it up. This is one way to architect malware: i.e., some code on your target computer tells another piece of code, which tells another piece of code, and another piece of code etc. Have you looked into Microservices Architecture? It's basically a way of creating complex applications all built on little pieces of code.
